16h29 3 July 2024  -  Interference on the 145.750 Mhz Aasvoelkop Repeater in the Southern Cape

It is currently raining in parts of the Southern Cape and also at the repeater site.  The interference that we experience during raining conditions is back and it was therefor decided to not use the repeater this afternoon for the Sonsakspan Net.  The link to ZS1SB-L will therefor not be linked to the ZS Hub Network and Southern Cape Node this afternoon.

06h00  2 July 2024 - Internet Outage due to Thunderstorm activity in the Southern Cape

The above outage occurred at 01h45 this morning possibly due to intense thunderstorm and lightning activity in the Southern Cape.  A full internet outage was observed on both LTE Routers that provide connection to the ZS1I-L, ZS1I-R Echolink Nodes, YSF Reflector, DMR Bridge Network and Pi-Star HotSpot.  Both the AllStar Nodes 49355 and  467653 were fully operational as well as the 145.550 Mhz Link but with no internet connections it was not possible for up-country nodes to connect to the network.

Internet was restored around 10h05 this morning and the ZS-Hub Network is now back online and operational.
