Give your Raspberry Pi some power!!

I use the Raspberry Pi Micro Computer on a daily basis.  In this process I gather lots of information and also learn as I go along.  I decided to post images and information as I "play" around with all 6 of my Raspberry Pi's.  I was one of the few in South Africa that obtained the first board all the way from the UK through RS Components.  Had to wait several months after payment to receive mine. The wait was worth the while and today I am not looking back.  One regret.  I am ever so sorry I sold my Raspberry Pi Model B (Released Feb.2012) when the next version was released and available for purchase.

I post these images of how to provide power to a Raspberry Pi.  There are several methods BUT be warned I will not be held liable if you blow up your Raspberry Pi in trying out these methods.  The best way is still through the Power Port which has a fuse to protect the unit from going up into smoke.  However there are instances where you cannot accommodate the wall-wart and need a different method of powering.  If I find more methods I will update this post.

IMPORTANT:  The GPIO pin outlay differ in many versions of the Raspberry Pi.  If you want to power your Raspberry Pi via the GPIO pins then make sure you know which pin is which on your Pi.
