Why buy when you can homebrew a LO satellite antenna?

The previous article HERE refer.

Johan ZS2I came up with a brilliant idea to mount his dual portable satellite antenna.  As can be seen from the first photo the stand consist of surveyor tripod, target adapter and a tribach inlay. The setup needed a few trimmings which consist of a 35mm aluminum bar and Fiat Uno clutch. (white round plates - only joking)

With the assistance ZS1I's son the 35mm aluminum bar was milled, cut and drilled to fit snugly into the target adapter.  Johan ZS2I then put the whole lot together and "wholla" he now has a very useful portable satellite antenna with azimuth and elevation maneuverability.

Solid as a rock and working like a charm!

The "Uno Clutch" handles the elevation of the antenna.
