Nico ZS4N recently constructed a 3 Element Delta Loop Antenna for 10 - 11 meters. He turned all the mounting brackets on a metal lathe and put the antenna together on a short pole to set the SWR before putting it up on his tower. Nico was pleasantly surprised when he called on 10 meters and made a contact with a New Zealand station. He received a 5-5 report from the station while the antenna was still fixed to the 2m short pole. (See photo) Nico is very pleased with the performance of this antenna. He indicated that the noise factor of this antenna is very low. Now one can just image how well this antenna will work once up on the 12 meter tower.
I am not going to go into detail about the construction of the antenna as the images below is self explanatory. The schematic diagram was obtained from the Internet but no indication could be found who the author was of the diagram. It would appear to be Ricardo PU2OKE.
