The Garden Route Hub Network used and demonstrated during a Vastap 4 X 4 Event held in Vleesbaai on 29 August 2021

The versatility of Amateur Radio was once again displayed on a 4 x 4 event held by the Southern Cape Vastrap 4 x 4 Club in Vleesbaai on the 29 August 2021.  I am not going to go into great detail here.  However I am sure that everybody that participated had a great day and outing away for the regular daily commute, work activities and Covid19 Pandemic issues.  The event was attended by club members, private individuals as well as the Cape Town based VASTRAP 4 x 4 Club.

The Garden Route Hub Network was activated in the event that we needed some form of help or assistance which we nearly needed (See the 3rd video).  I connected to several stations and listened to the Sunday morning amateur radio SARL News and club bulletins while the 4 x 4 event was ongoing. A mobile private node and client was also activated and performed great.  The versatility of the Garden Route Hub Network was clearly illustrated and several club members wanted to know more about amateur radio.  I obliged and hopefully "seeds" were sown iro Amateur Radio and 4 x 4 Events.  Enough talking.  Here is a few images and videos of the scenic 4 x 4 event.

As can be seen from one of the videos we nearly had a mishap but thankfully this did not happen and assistance was not needed.
